What We Learned Today...October 10th

ELA: This morning we had a shortened ELA period due to our assembly.  Once we got back to class we reviewed how to answer questions in detail and also spent some time reviewing Sentence Structure.  In particular, we focused on: independent and dependent clauses and simple, compound, complex and compound-complex sentences.

French: Instead of a test this week, I decided to give the students one more project to help them practice the concepts learned in our first unit.  Students were grouped into pairs and have been tasked with recording a fake phone conversation that includes numerous questions and responses learned in Unit One.

ELA Again: After reviewing sentence structure this morning, students worked in pairs on a BINGO activity that tasked them with writing numerous types of sentences and clauses.
