What We Learned Today...October 18th

ELA: This morning we started out our with the usual AR period before students continued working on their Diagon Alley assignments.  After some discussion, we decided that this assignment will be due on Tuesday, October 24th, which means the students will have three more class periods to work on it.

Health: We were joined by Ms. Klippenstein and Ms. Dodds, who gave a guest presentation on abuse as a follow up for our presentation on Residential Schools a few weeks ago.


Religion: After lunch, the students continued working on their Creation Story Assignments.  A due date of Friday, October 28th has been

Math: Students took a brief Socrative quiz before beginning the textbook assignment from Pg. 99 of their textbooks.

Upcoming Due Dates & Homework

Math:

 -3.2 is due on Wednesday

-Pg. 99 is due on Friday
a) 1, 2, 4, 6, 10, 11
b) 5-8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16
c) 6-8, 11, 15, 16, 19, 21

ELA:
-Chapter 3+4 Questions are due this Thursday.

-Diagon Alley Advertisements are due on Tuesday, October 25th

Genius Hour:
-Blog Post update is due on Friday, October 28th

Religion:

-Creation Story Project is due on Friday, October 28th

Reminders:

-Positive Lifestyles Conference is tomorrow at The Queensbury Centre.  Since it will be an extended day, students won't arrive back to Deshaye until 5:00.  Parents, please ensure you are here to pick up your child at that time.

-Remember to wear gym clothes tomorrow and bring a water bottle with you.  Lunch is provided tomorrow, so you won't need to bring one.
